1. Don’t toss; rework.
“Don’t toss; rework” is a lesson I observed from my good pal Jean Victor, who wrote the chapter on Educated Recommendation: Yard Design in our Gardenista e-book: “Keep away from the temptation to tear out and discard every half in your present panorama,” Jean recommends. “Repurpose bricks from a planter for a mannequin new pathway; use outdated fence pickets to make a gate; dig up hardy perennials and swap them to a mannequin new mattress.”
